Tasks and Services

The IT support services offered for the department and its members can be grouped under various points:

Advice

  • We provide advice and support for the acquisition both of computers and of peripheral equipment from printers to projectors. Please also see our notes on the acquisition of ICT equipment (PC/computer, notebook, software, accessories etc).
  • At the same time, we are the first point of contact for all queries and problems concerning IT.

Operation

  • Operation of the IT infrastructure amongst the department network and FUnkLAN (WLAN) in collaboration with ZEDAT.
  • Operation of the interdepartmental image database “easyDB”.
  • With the e-mail service (in German only) and associated mailing lists, electronic distribution lists can be set up centrally and maintained efficiently.
