The Welcome Service of Freie Universität Berlin (FUB) is happy to support you in finding your way quickly in Germany and at FU Berlin. On their pages you will find an overview of the service facilities, contact persons, as well as the various offers that can support you during your arrival and while you are settling in.

Whether you are already enrolled as a student at Freie Universität or are simply interested, the central point of contact for inquiries about studying abroad or student exchange is the Info-Service Studium on campus, within walking distance of the department building. The staff is happy to provide information by phone, e-mail, or chat.

Freie Universität Berlin has a reputation as the most international university in Germany. At our department (History and Cultural Studies), a quarter of all Master's students come from abroad. This also means that there is a lot of support and advice for international students, including the Office for International Students as well as student tutors who will assist you in the first year of your Master's program.

Many of our international students are given access to the online portal "Distributed Campus", which guides you through the preparation and start of your stay at Freie Universität and provides a wealth of information on almost all aspects of life in Berlin and at the university. The Portal Campus Management organizes your courses and exams.
