As members of Freie Universität Berlin, HCS doctoral candidates can take advantage of the cost-free Graduate Studies Support Program of the Berlin University Alliance (BUA), which offers workshops on topics such as academic writing, mental health and career prospects for doctoral candidates. For the BUA workshops, as well as for those of the Dahlem Research School, HCS doctoral students are awarded credit points in the doctoral curriculum for the area of key qualifications.
