Opportunity to do a compulsory internship at the Museum of Islamic Art in Berlin for students.
News from Jul 12, 2024
Dear students,
The Museum of Islamic Art – National Museums in Berlin, offers you the opportunity to do a compulsory internship as part of the research project "Takht-e Soleyman - The Ilkhanid Summer Palace" (see link below).
As a prerequisite, however, a compulsory internship must be prescribed in the curriculum with the required total number of hours. Depending on the period chosen, tasks may include assisting in the preparation and evaluation of archaeometric data and analyses, compiling documents relating to the excavations and the architecture of the site, such as plans, excavation photographs and publications, transcribing audio files, and researching various topics. Other options include
participation in social media posts and the preparation of the publication (English).
An optional period in 2024 is between August and the end of October; additional dates are possible from April 2025 onwards. German- and English-speaking applicants are welcome. Please note: The museum is closed and the collection is being moved, therefore, "object handling" is not possible at the moment.
If you are interested, please contact me by phone or email, I look forward to receiving your application!
