Within the research project "Kalīla and Dimna", Khouloud Khalfallah is responsible for the corpus of Arabic manuscript versions.

She is a member of the Berlin Graduate School Muslim Cultures and Societies / BGSMCS with her PhD project on "Classifying the Variety of the Arabic Versions of Kalīla wa-Dimna". Since 2023, Khouloud Khalfallah's work is supported by Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes.

Khouloud Khalfallah earned her Master’s degree in Arabic Studies at Freie Universität Berlin. In her student years, she was part of the student research project on “Philological Groundwork – Digitalisation in the Humanities: Corpus Coranicum Christianum and regularly taught Arabic language on different levels at the Center for Language Learning (Sprachenzentrum) of Freie Universität Berlin.

Before her engagements at Freie Universität Berlin, K. Khalfallah had graduated in Tunisia as Master of Finances. She has worked in the international foreign trade sector for the Middle East region.
