Mullaney (Stanford University). It explores critical issues in the history of type design beyond the Latin alphabet and in doing so brings together practicing designers and scholars to explore this rich and complex history from varied perspectives. Philological Encounters is dedicated to the historical and philosophical critique of philology. It welcomes critical and comparative perspectives that integrate textual scholarship and the study of language from across the world.
