Placement Test for Students with Prior Knowledge of Japanese - Registration period Sept 4 - 27, 2023

Do you already have some knowledge of Japanese and would like to take Japanese courses as part of your MAGEA studies in the coming semester? Then please take the placement test on October 4, 2023.

BA Japanese language modules

Placement in Japanese Basic Module II and III, Advanced Module I:
Oct 4, 9:15 - 10:45 AM (written part) AND from 11:00 AM 5-minute one-on-one interviews in Japanese.
Placement in Japanese Basic Module IV and V:
Oct 4, 13:15 - 14:45 (written part) AND from 15:00 5-minute one-on-one interviews in Japanese.

Location: ZE Language Center (Sprachenzentrum), Room KL 24/105

Students can register for the placement test for the BA Japanese language modules from September 4 to 27, 2023, here:

MA Japanese language modules

Placement in MA Japanese II and III:
Oct 4, 9:15 - 10:45 AM (written part) AND from 11:00 AM 5-minute one-on-one interviews in Japanese.
Placement in MA Japanese IV:
Oct 4, 13:15 - 14:45 (written part) AND from 15:00 5-minute one-on-one interviews in Japanese.

Registration:

Students can register for the placement test for the MA Japanese language modules from September 4 to 27, 2023, by sending an e-mail to the address of Ms. Hioki (yasuyo.hioki@fu-berlin.de) and Ms. Shiroki (mie.shiroki@fu-berlin.de) with (1) matriculation number (if available), (2) name, (3) ZEDAT email address (if not available, an email address where you can be reached), and (4) the MA module placement test you would like to take.

Please note:

The placement test is basically for students with prior knowledge of Japanese. The courses Japanese I, III and V are offered in the winter semester. Japanese II and IV are offered in the summer semester. The results of the placement test are valid for one year.

BA Japanese modules are generally taught in Japanese and German. The MA Japanese modules are taught in Japanese, except for the translation part.
