KALiMaT – First Steps Toward an Online Resource for Arabic Literary Terms. A new project of Open Encyclopedic System (OES) of Freie Universität Berlin
The Arabic Studies Research Colloquium session offers an introduction to the project KALiMaT, a bilingual – Arabic and English – Open Access living handbook for the study of Arabic literary terms. Brigitte Grote from FUB-IT introduces the Open Encyclopedia System (OES) platform and discusses the advantages of publishing a living handbook such as KALiMaT online and open access. Johannes Stephan and Oualid El Khattabi share reflections on their work with Arabic literary concepts and provide examples of KALiMaT lemmata, articles, and other features.
