+++CTG EVENT+++ Introduction to Digital Research Methods — M. Xenia Kudela
WORKSHOP for STUDENTS
Digital Humanities is a rapidly growing field across all disciplines dealing with language and culture, including those focused on languages written in non-Latin scripts such as Arabic, Persian, and Hebrew.
This workshop is designed to offer students with an interest in researching these languages a comprehensive overview of digital methods for extracting knowledge from textual data. Participants will explore various techniques, including corpus analysis, sentiment analysis, text visualization, and much more.
The workshop will combine theoretical insights with practical exercises, enabling students to apply these methods to their individual research or study. While the exercises will be conducted using Arabic texts, supplementary materials in English will also be provided, ensuring that all participants can complete the tasks regardless of their language proficiency.
The workshop is open to students of BA and MA levels in all disciplines working with non-Latin Script Data, students from other institutions than Freie Universität Berlin are highly welcome to join.
