Susanne Ebermann

Susanne completed her MA studies in 2013 with a thesis entitled "The Development of Kindergarten in Taiwan." She had previously undertaken studies at the National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei in 2008/2009. From October 2013 to 2016, she held the position of research associate at the Institute for Chinese Studies. Subsequently, from October 2016 to August 2018, she assumed the role of office manager at the Institute of Chinese Studies. From September 2018 to December 2023, she served as the project manager for the BMBF-funded initiative "Worldmaking from a Global Perspective: A Dialogue with China." Since 2022, she has been entrusted with the financial coordination of numerous projects financed by the European Research Council (ERC), including the project entitled "Democratisation of the Family? Gender equality, parental rights, and child welfare after 1945 (DEMFAM)," led by Dr. Jana Tschurenev. Since January 2023, she has additionally assumed the role of coordinating the Master's program MA Global East Asia. Since August 2024, she has also been providing assistance to the office management team of Global History, under the direction of Professor Dr. Sebastian Conrad.
