Aethiosemitica - Festive ceremony in honor of Prof. Dr. Rainer Voigt

On Wednesday, January 17th, 2024, on the occasion of the 80th birthday of Emeritus Professor of Semitic Studies Prof. Dr. Rainer Voigt, we held a ceremony in his honor. AETHIOSEMITICA has been celebrated from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in room 1.2009 (Holzlaube). Program items included laudations by HRH Prince Dr. Asfa-Wossen Asserate and Dr. Ulrike-Rebekka Nieten, contributions from Orbis Aethiopicus and the Gesellschaft zur Förderung von Museen in Äthipien as well as speeches by Prof. Dr. Dr. Christoph Markschies, Prof. Dr. Klaus Geus, Prof. Dr. Shabo Talay and Dr. Zeus Wellnhofer.
