Aya Al-Telmissany is a poet, translator, and scholar. She has earned her masters degree in English and comparative literature with a focus on women’s poetry.  She writes poetry in English and French and has had poems published by Anomalous Press, Poésie en Liberté, and Haus Für Poesie. She is also the first prize winner of the Madalyn Lamont Literary Award for the years 2018 and 2022.
