Gwendolyn Domning is a researcher and PhD candidate at the Institute of Korean Studies at Freie Universität Berlin and Korea-Europe Center. Her research interests include Korean politics, media, and culture, as well as the relations between Korea and Germany and the impact of the Korean Wave. She has published on the topic of anti-corruption reforms in South Korea and the impact of the Korean Wave on German society. Currently, she is working on her doctoral thesis about South Korean political corruption and is affiliated with the Graduate School of East Asian Studies. Additionally, she is leading a student research group studying the phenomenon of the Korean Wave and its impact in Germany (The Hallyu AG) and is the manager of the Institute of Korean Studies web content and social media channels.
