Welcome to the FU and especially to the Institute for Islamic Studies! We are Vincent and Elena. As mentors we will support you during your first semester with all your questions and suggestions as well as with your first orientation.

Dear fellow students,

I would also like to extend a warm welcome to you at the FU! Starting in January 2023, I will take over Vincent's mentoring and will be available to answer all your questions about your studies. While we will mainly focus on exam preparation in the mentoring sessions starting in January, some exciting excursions are also planned, such as a visit to the Center for Modern Oriental Studies or a joint concert evening at the cultural association Al-Berlin.

Dear BA students,

My name is Joudy Sido Bozan and I am the tutor for the subjects Arabic Studies, Semitic Studies and Islamic Studies. At the moment I am studying Islamic Studies in the Master's program.

First and foremost, I tutor Bachelor's students from the 3rd semester onwards on questions concerning the preparation and design of term papers and Bachelor's theses, correct citation and transcription. I am also happy to offer advice on organizational matters such as certificates, credits or Master's transition. In addition to my office hours, I offer a tutorial once a week as well as a regular exchange meeting on the bachelor thesis.
