News from Mar 15, 2018
Valeska Huber has been awarded the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Prize, issued by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in recognition of her book “Channelling Mobilities”, a study of the history of the Middle East and the history of migration. The committee praised the way in which Huber's work "consistently blends local and global perspectives, which are often needed but seldom developed in global history". The presentation of the award will take place on 29 May.
