Oğuz Yarlıgaş is a research assistant at Istanbul University, Department of Ancient History.

The title of his master thesis, which was submitted in 2008 to the Department of Classical Philology (Ancient Greek Language and Literature Division), Istanbul University, was: Significance of the Speeches in Xenophon's Anabasis.

He is currently writing his PhD, the working title of which is: Roman Army and Roman Frontier in Asia Minor During the Principate (Department of Ancient History, Istanbul University, 2014 - ?)
