Marius Hoppe graduated with an BA in Archaeology of the Ancient Near East in 2009 and MA in the History and Culture of the Ancient Near East with an emphasis in Near Eastern Studies in 2012 at Freie Universität Berlin. His MA thesis was entitled “Untersuchungen zur mittelassyrischen Quittung.”
In May 2017, he earned his PhD with his dissertation entitled "Texte zur Behandlung von Impotenz" (Texts for the treatment of impotence) assesed by Prof. Dr. Markham Geller, Principal Investigator of Babmed, and Prof. Dr. Volker Hess, Director of the Institute for History and Ethics of Medicine at Charité Berlin.
