The project PROCOPE is an international “integrating program of action” that came into existence through an agreement between the DAAD and the government of France. On the German side it was funded by the DAAD and the German Ministry of Education and Research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung, BMBF). On the French side it was funded by the French Foreign and Education ministry. It is the dedicated goal of this project to support and encourage intensive cooperation between French and German scholars working on specific scholarly projects. The support further education and specialization of junior scholars is of great importance.
