The integrative area serves to complement your chosen core subject. It includes, above all, the lecture series ‚Fundamentals of Ancient Studies‘ (‚Grundlagen der Altertumswissenschaften’) which provides an insight into all five core subjects of Ancient Studies (Classical archeology, Ancient Near Eastern studies, Prehistoric archeology, Ancient Near Eastern archeology, and Egyptology) and imparts interdisciplinary competences. The integrative area allows you to attend courses and lectures of core
subjects other than Egyptology. You will thereby extend your knowledge of other past cultures.
