This lecture will present an overview of language policy development in Post-Soviet Azerbaijan. Ideologies and language policy priorities from the early 1990’s till present as well as language attitudes and reshaped identities (Azerbaijan and Central Asia) will be extensively discussed. Besides, light will be shed on related topics such as dynamics of minority language policy and planning.
