Dr. Quan Li, a Humboldt Senior Fellow at the Institute of Chinese Studies, will participate as one of the ten concurrent speakers at the 2023 Karl Barth Conference which will take place at Princeton Theological Seminary from June 18^th to 21^st. The focus of Dr. Li's presentation is "In Search of Priestly Witness: A Barthian Intervention in the Chinese Church-State Relationship in the Neoliberal Age." This theme proposes an innovative approach to reimagining the relationship between the church and the state in the framework of the Chinese neoliberal regime and in a constructive dialogue with Barth's political vision of priestly witness.
