Berlin Forum on Korea 2022
Korean Peninsula in the Age of Turbulent International Politics
10.11.2022
The outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine War marks but the most recent incident in a rapidly changing international environment and shifting political constellations among the USA and Europe, Russia, China and the Asia-Pacific. These changes seemingly signal a relapse into cold-war-era logics of power politics. They carry special significance for the Korean peninsula and its immediate environment and call not only for a rethinking and re-orientation in terms of a roadmap to peace on Korean peninsula but also regarding the future role of the EU in the region. The Institute for Korean Studies at Freie Universität Berlin is proud to organize the 2022 Berlin Forum on Korea to discuss these questions.
