The annual lecture at Freie Universität Berlin serves to honor the memory of President Kim Dae Jung, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize (2000) and the international Fredom Award of Freie Universität Berlin (2007) .
This year, Professor Dr Moon Chung-in, Chairman of the Sejong Institute and former Special Advisor of National Security and Foreign Affairs to the President of the Republic of Korea, will give a lecture on the current developments on the Korean Peninsula and the possibilities for peace and security in the region. The event will be chaired by Dr Tereza Novotná (Korea Foundation & Korea Europe Center Fellow, Institute of Korean Studies and Center for European Integration, Freie Universität Berlin.
