Visiting Scholars Lecture - Prof Eun-mee Kim: Digital Media and Political Participation
Eun-mee Kim (Ph.D. in Communication Studies at Northwestern University 1996) is a professor in the department of Communication, Seoul National University. She also served as an associate dean of the school of social science, director of the interdisciplinary program of Information Science and Culture, and the director of the Institute of Communication Research at Seoul National University in Korea. Before she joined Seoul National University, Prof Kim has taught at Yonsei and Kookmin University. She enjoys inter-disciplinary research and her current research interests are the analysis of media user behaviors and experience and socio-cultural changes related to digital technologies. Her publications cover the issues of mediated human communications including media and youth, media literacy, and cultural consumption and participation.
