Eun-Shil Kim is Professor for Women’s Studies at Ewha Womans
University, Seoul. She received her PhD from the University of California
in 1993 and has been teaching gender studies and politics at Ewha
Womans University since 1995. She is presently engaged in research on
globalization, issues of gender regarding knowledge and power, women
in Asia, and colonialism.
