Gwendolyn Domning ist wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin, Dozentin und Doktorandin am Institut für Koreastudien der Freien Universität Berlin und am Korea-Europa Center. Ihre Forschungsinteressen umfassen koreanische Politik, Medien und Kultur sowie die Beziehungen zwischen Korea und Deutschland und die Wirkungen der Koreanischen Welle in Deutschland. Sie hat über das Thema der Antikorruptionsreformen in Südkorea und die Auswirkungen der Koreanischen Welle auf die deutsche Gesellschaft publiziert. Derzeit arbeitet sie an ihrer Doktorarbeit über politische Korruption in Südkorea und ist Mitglied der Graduate School of East Asian Studies. Darüber hinaus leitet sie eine studentische Forschungsgruppe, die das Phänomen der Koreanischen Welle und deren Auswirkungen in Deutschland untersucht (Die Hallyu AG) und ist für den Web-Content und die Social-Media-Kanäle des Instituts für Koreanstudies verantwortlich.
