Young Sik JEONG is the Senior Research Fellow of the International Macroeconomics and Finance Department at the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP), having previously served as Executive Director of the International Macroeconomics and Finance Department, Executive Director of the New Southern Policy Department and Head of the International Finance Team at KIEP.

Prior to joining KIEP, he worked as a Research Fellow at Samsung Global Research (formerly Samsung Economic Research Institute). He has also held several positions, such as Director of the Korean International Finance Association and Member of the Enforcement Review Committee at the Financial Supervisory Service.

His research focuses on international finance, financialization, financial crises, financial cooperation, real estate, macroeconomics, and regional studies on major economies.
