Dr. Leah Mascia ist eine Ägyptologin und Koptologin, die ihren Forschunsfokus auf den
kulturelle und religiösen Wandel im römischen und frühbyzantinischen Ägypten legt. Seit
Jahren arbeitet sie als Epigraphikerin und Papyrologin in Oxyrhynchus (modernes el-Bahnasa,
Ägypten), einem der für die damit verbundenen Fragen ergiebigsten Orte Ägyptens.
